This allows the doctors to access information in a highly efficient manner from almost any location using secure, web-based software.

X-Ray

An X-ray is an image (picture) of bones and internal organs. X-rays are most often used to detect bone or joint problems, or to check the heart and lungs (chest X-ray). X-rays work by sending small amounts of radiation through the body. If an X-ray has been ordered, our doctor has decided that its value outweighs any risk.

X-Ray Tips

Wear clothes with no metal closures. Avoid wearing jewelry. You may have to change into a gown, or remove items with metal. These items may block part of the X-ray. Be ready to discuss your overall health. This includes any symptoms you have and why you need the procedure.

 CT Scanner

The Medical Imaging Unit currently operates multiple CT Scanners. Procedures include images of the chest, abdomen, pelvis, brain, joints, spine, biopsies, and drains. The normal hours of operation are 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Ultrasound

We currently utilize state of the art Ultrasound machines. The most common imaging services offered are fetal, abdominal, OBGYN, Thyroid, various Ultrasound guided tissue biopsies, and many vascular studies and also offers specialized Perinatology clinic for high risk pregnancies. The routine work schedule is Monday through Sunday with an on call status on the holidays, evenings and nights.

Ultrasound Procedures

Ultrasound imaging, also called Ultrasound scanning or sonography, uses high-frequency sound waves to produce precise images of structures within the body. The ultrasound services include obstetric, gynecologic, abdominal, and vascular procedures.
