INSURANCE ASSISTANCE

Our coordinators are ready to assist you in contacting your insurance company and help you to process your claim. In order to process cashless medical services you have to make sure that your insurance policy/certificate is still valid. Our staff will contact you to make a copy of the insurance policy/certificate and an identification card or passport.

Out-Patient Claim

In case that you have not contacted your insurance prior to the hospital visit or we have not received the guarantee of payment from the insurance in time of the visit, the advance payment would be preferable. Even if the Insurance have verbally confirm about the coverage but we still need an official guarantee of payment.

All self-paying patients will receive full documentation necessary which is required to pursue a direct claim with their Insurance.

Normally for Out-Patient treatment, insurance company requires patient to pay first and patient may file for reimbursement directly with there insurance company.

In-Patient Claim (Admission)

If our specialist advises you to be admitted in the hospital, our coordinator will contact the insurance for you but the coverage will be considered by your insurance.

The following documents need to be submitted to the insurance:

- Copy of Insurance Policy/Certificate

- Copy of Passport

- Copy of Identification Card

- Insurance Claim Form (If you have one)

- Medical Report

- Other documents that may be needed by your insurance company

Please note that Guarantee of Payment (GOP) is needed to submit to the hospital. This document states if the insurance will cover the insured and if so, how much and until when. If this is not received during your time of admission, you will be responsible to pay for your treatment and direct reimbursement with your insurance.

Upon discharge, you will be required to sign the bill and pay for any additional expenses such as personal expenses and those items not cover by insurance and/or according to your insurance policy.

In spite of having an insurance policy there may be circumstances where you will have to pay a part of or the whole bill by yourself and file for claim directly with your insurance company later. For example

* For all Out-Patient services, except in cases where we have an agreement of cashless service with your insurance company.

* We have not received a guarantee of payment within 48 hours of your stay in the hospital.

* Your stay in the hospital was too short for us to get a guarantee of payment from your insurance company.
* Your condition was not covered in your insurance policy. Expiry or uncertainty of your insurance policy.

* Charges for services not covered by your insurance policy.
* We do not have an agreement for dealing with your insurance company.

* We have temporarily withheld giving credit to your insurance company due to overdue of previous payments or for any other reasons.

Important note:

Please note that most overseas insurance companies need at least 2 working days to evaluate and proceed. If the Hospital has not received the guarantee of payment from your insurance company, and you are ready to be discharged, you will be asked to pay the expenses and claim back the amount from you insurance directly.
